This Week at Point Clear Rotary: Allen Revillosa on Lifesaving ECMO Care
Join Point Clear Rotary on Thursday, November 5, as we welcome Allen Revillosa, Director of ECMO Services at USA Health Providence Hospital, for a look at the specialized care available to critically ill patients in our community.
ECMO, short for Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, provides temporary support when a patient’s heart or lungs cannot function adequately. This technology gives the body time to rest and recover while a specialized healthcare team provides treatment.
Allen oversees Providence Hospital’s ECMO program and brings extensive experience in Mobile-area healthcare. His presentation will offer an opportunity to learn about this technology and the people who deliver advanced care close to home.
Our member host this week is Larry Cerf, who selected Allen because he believes this is important information for our community. For Larry, the camaraderie is his favorite part of Point Clear Rotary and this week’s meeting offers visitors a chance to experience that fellowship while learning something new.
