Tomorrow’s Speaker: Sean Sullivan
This week, the Point Clear Rotary Club is pleased to welcome Sean Sullivan, owner and operator of Bigler Broadcasting, doing business as FM Talk 106.5 Radio.
A longtime radio personality and talk-radio host based in Mobile, Sean is passionate about local news, politics, community issues, and the people who make the Gulf Coast unique. As host of Midday Mobile with Sean Sullivan, he brings listeners a dynamic mix of news, commentary, interviews, and conversations focused on the issues that matter most across Mobile and the surrounding region.
Sean regularly speaks with elected officials, law enforcement professionals, business executives, community leaders, and subject-matter experts about local government, economic development, public safety, education, environmental concerns, Gulf Coast history, and national issues affecting Alabama.
He also co-hosts FM Talk Outdoors, which highlights hunting, fishing, conservation, and the outdoor traditions that are central to the Gulf Coast lifestyle.
Sean believes locally owned and locally focused radio plays an essential role in keeping communities informed and connected. We look forward to hearing his perspective on broadcasting, civic engagement, and the issues shaping the future of our Gulf Coast community.
Membership Committee Update
Wayne will provide an overview of the Point Clear Rotary Club’s new Membership Handbook, highlighting the key information, expectations, and resources every member should know. This presentation will help both new and longtime Rotarians better understand the club’s operations, opportunities for involvement, and the many ways members can make the most of their Rotary experience.
Taste of Rotary Updates
Wine Raffle Tickets
Members may pick up wine raffle tickets from David Harbison or Tim McGuire. Please connect with them soon to get your tickets and help support our club’s largest fundraiser!
Admission Ticket Buy-Back Program
As in past years, the club may have an opportunity to buy back Taste of Rotary admission tickets from members to sell to the public or provide to event sponsors. While there is no guarantee that tickets will be needed, interested members should email Noah Funderburg at pronoah@me.com.
Names will be added to a list, and members will be contacted on a first-come, first-served basis if tickets are needed. Members whose admission tickets are purchased back will instead be charged for 15 raffle tickets.
Noah is out this week while recovering from COVID. Next week will be the final opportunity to pick up tickets at a club meeting. After that, all remaining tickets will be mailed to members.

Mark your calendars for Monday, November 9, as the United States Sports University Eagles Golf Classic returns to the beautiful Steelwood Country Club. This annual tournament brings together alumni, friends, community partners, and supporters for a day of golf with a purpose.
Every swing helps make a difference. Proceeds from the tournament directly support student scholarships, providing financial assistance to deserving students while advancing USSU’s mission of preparing the next generation of leaders in sport through innovative education, research, and service.
