This Week’s Speaker: Stephen Savage
Tomorrow, Point Clear Rotary welcomes accomplished Gulf Coast photographer, educator, and filmmaker Stephen Savage.
For more than 30 years, Stephen has documented the people and character of the Gulf Coast through his photography. His fine art has been exhibited at museums and galleries throughout the region, and he has been recognized as an Alabama State Council on the Arts Fellow in Photography.
Stephen taught photography, photojournalism, and art history at Spring Hill College for 20 years and continues to teach at the Eastern Shore Art Center, where he has served as an instructor for 25 years. His creative work also extends into filmmaking, with projects supporting numerous nonprofit and community organizations.
A dedicated advocate for the arts, Stephen has served on several local boards and currently serves on the steering committee for the Fairhope Film Festival. He and his wife, Holly, live in Daphne.
Join us tomorrow as we welcome Stephen and learn more about his work, experiences, and creative perspective!
A Special Thank You from Colt Benson

Point Clear Rotary recently received a heartfelt thank-you note from Colt Benson, whom our club sponsored to attend RYLA camp.
Colt shared that the experience helped him build confidence, form meaningful friendships, strengthen his communication skills, and develop as a leader. He returned from camp feeling better prepared to work with a team, make an impact in the lives of others, and become the kind of leader he hopes to be.
Thank you to our members for supporting opportunities like RYLA. Your investment in young people is helping develop the next generation of community leaders!

Admission Ticket Buy-Back Program
As in past years, the club may have an opportunity to buy back Taste of Rotary admission tickets from members to sell to the public or provide to event sponsors. While there is no guarantee that tickets will be needed, interested members should email Noah Funderburg at pronoah@me.com.
Names will be added to a list, and members will be contacted on a first-come, first-served basis if tickets are needed. Members whose admission tickets are purchased back will instead be charged for 15 raffle tickets.
Noah is out this week while recovering from COVID. Next week will be the final opportunity to pick up tickets at a club meeting. After that, all remaining tickets will be mailed to members.

Remembering September 11
This Friday, we pause to remember the lives lost during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger, the service members who answered the call to protect our nation, and the everyday citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage, compassion, and selflessness.
We also remember the families and communities whose lives were forever changed that day. As Rotarians, may we carry forward the spirit of unity that emerged in the aftermath—choosing service over self, extending kindness to our neighbors, and working together to build stronger and more peaceful communities.
We will never forget.
Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
— Nelson Mandela
