🚨 All Hands on Deck! 🚨

Tonight at 5:00 PM we kick off planning for our Taste of Rotary fundraiser at Rock Creek Golf Club!

This is Point Clear Rotary’s biggest fundraising event of the year, and it takes every Rotarian working together to make it a success. The funds we raise directly support scholarships, youth leadership programs, local nonprofits, and service projects throughout our community.

Tomorrow’s Speaker: Colby Cooper

This week, the Point Clear Rotary Club welcomes Colby Cooper, Chief Development Officer for Safe Harbor Marinas, for what promises to be one of our most personal and impactful programs of the year.

While Colby will briefly share his work leading construction and development for the world’s largest marina owner and operator, the heart of his presentation will focus on a journey no parent ever expects to take.

Colby will share the story of his son, Kyle Cooper, a nationally ranked triathlete whose life changed dramatically after developing severe health complications that his family attributes to the microvascular effects of COVID-19 vaccination and commonly refers to as “long COVID.” After years of searching for answers through dozens of physicians and multiple children’s hospitals, the Cooper family ultimately found a path that led them to the Microvascular Research Foundation, an experience that transformed both their understanding of Kyle’s condition and their family’s mission.

Through this deeply personal presentation, Colby will discuss perseverance, advocacy, the importance of continuing medical research, and the hope that can emerge even during life’s most difficult challenges.

His presentation aligns with one of Rotary’s Areas of Focus: Disease Prevention and Treatment, reminding us that advancing healthcare depends not only on scientific discovery but also on the courage of patients and families who share their stories.

We invite members and guests to join us for this meaningful conversation and the opportunity to hear firsthand about resilience, faith, and the pursuit of answers in the face of extraordinary circumstances.
