Tomorrow’s Speaker: Col. W. Mark Valentine, USAF (Ret.)

Tomorrow, the Point Clear Rotary Club is pleased to welcome Col. W. Mark Valentine, USAF (Ret.) for an engaging presentation on one of today’s most impactful topics: artificial intelligence.

A retired Air Force Colonel, combat veteran, and former F-16 fighter pilot, Mark has spent more than 25 years leading at the highest levels of national security. Today, he serves as President and General Manager of Skydio Global Government, where he helps governments around the world harness autonomous drone technology and artificial intelligence to improve safety, efficiency, and decision-making.

Before joining Skydio, Mark led federal technology initiatives at Scale AI and Microsoft, bringing cutting-edge innovations—including AI, machine learning, cloud computing, and mixed reality—to military and government organizations.

In addition to discussing the rapidly evolving world of AI and what it means for our future, Mark will also share a brief overview of his role as Director of the American Legion Alabama Boys State, one of the nation’s premier leadership and civic education programs for high school students.

With an impressive career spanning military service, technology, and community leadership, this promises to be a timely and thought-provoking program.
