Tomorrow’s Speaker Spotlight: HomeRN Mobile Bay

Tomorrow, we are excited to welcome Megan Lemon and Maggie Palesano as our featured speakers representing HomeRN Mobile Bay hosted by Rita Daniels.

Both Megan and Maggie are Fairhope natives with deep roots in our local healthcare community and a shared passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Both Megan and Maggie are Fairhope natives with deep roots in our local healthcare community and a shared passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Megan Lemon is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner who began her healthcare career as a registered nurse at Thomas Hospital before advancing her education and practicing as a nurse practitioner in New Orleans. After returning home to Fairhope in 2022, Megan transitioned into home-based care and has focused on bringing high-quality healthcare directly to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Maggie Palesano is a registered nurse whose career included serving in a pediatric intensive care unit in Boston while her husband completed dental school. After moving back to Fairhope, Maggie worked in the Birth Center at Thomas Hospital before joining HomeRN, where she has found a passion for personalized, in-home patient care.

During tomorrow’s presentation, Megan and Maggie will share more about the mission and services of HomeRN Mobile Bay, a concierge healthcare provider serving the Eastern Shore and Mobile areas. HomeRN delivers professional, in-home healthcare services including caregiving, nursing, IV therapy, urgent care, and wellness support. Their team is dedicated to making healthcare more accessible, personalized, and convenient for individuals and families throughout our community.

We look forward to hearing how HomeRN is helping redefine healthcare by meeting patients where they are and improving quality of life through compassionate in-home care.

Point Clear Rotary Club Announces 2026 Scholarship Recipients

Following another highly competitive scholarship cycle, the Point Clear Rotary Club Scholarship Committee has announced its 2026 scholarship recipients. After a rigorous review and interview process, Austen Yang of Daphne High School was selected as the overall recipient of the club’s prestigious $12,000 scholarship award. Austen plans to attend Johns Hopkins University, where he will pursue a pre-med track majoring in molecular and cellular biology.

Due to the exceptional strength of this year’s applicant pool, club leadership also approved a special $3,000 scholarship award for Makiya Beyer of Fairhope High School. Makiya will attend University of South Alabama to study aerospace engineering.

The Scholarship Committee noted that this year’s candidates demonstrated remarkable academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement, making the selection process especially difficult. Both scholarship recipients, along with their families, have been invited to attend an upcoming club meeting to share more about their future plans and accomplishments.

The Point Clear Rotary Club’s scholarship program continues to invest in outstanding local students who exemplify excellence, service, and leadership.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
