Scholarships
Over the past decade, the Point Clear Rotary Club has proudly awarded scholarships to outstanding students from schools on the Eastern Shore, helping them take meaningful steps toward realizing their dreams. To date, we have provided $117,000 in scholarships to support these deserving individuals in pursuing higher education. Recipients are chosen through a rigorous selection process that evaluates their exceptional character, financial need, and leadership abilities.
Our goal is to award a partial four-year scholarship each year to a local student who demonstrates both merit and need. By investing in these young scholars, we empower them to turn their aspirations into reality and build brighter futures. We are especially delighted to welcome our scholarship recipients back annually to a Club meeting, where they join us for breakfast and share updates on their academic achievements and progress.

Fairhope-Point Clear Rotary Youth Club
Our club is a proud supporter of the Fairhope-Point Clear Rotary Youth Club, which provides vital programs for local children. The Youth Club offers afterschool activities during the school year, summer programs, and a high-quality pre-K program. Each weekday at 3 PM, the Youth Club opens its doors to provide a safe, supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and thrive.
The afterschool program combines recreation and enrichment, offering activities such as art, music, and swim lessons on Fridays. In the outdoor classroom garden, Master Gardener volunteers guide children in growing fresh produce like lettuce, carrots, and Brussels sprouts, which are transformed into healthy snacks in the club’s kitchen. A key feature of the program is the “Power Hour,” a focused homework and study time supported by staff and community volunteers. This dedicated time not only improves grades but also fosters connections and mentorship that positively shape young lives.
During the summer, the Youth Club offers enrichment programs for students from elementary to high school. The summer enrichment academy bridges the gap between school years, with mornings spent learning from certified teachers and afternoons filled with fun and engaging activities. Importantly, all children are welcome to participate, regardless of their ability to pay, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to benefit from these incredible programs.
