Investing in the Future of Baldwin County Students

The Point Clear Rotary Club Scholarship Program supports outstanding high school seniors from the Eastern Shore who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership through service, and financial need. The program reflects Rotary’s commitment to helping local students achieve their educational and career goals while encouraging the values of “Service Above Self.”

🎓 Scholarship Overview

Each year, the Point Clear Rotary Club awards one new $12,000 scholarship to a graduating senior from a participating local high school. The award is paid out over four years in $3,000 installments, as long as the student meets eligibility requirements.

Recipients are chosen based on academic performance, standardized test scores, leadership and community service, and a personal essay describing their most meaningful life experience.

🏫 Eligible High Schools

Graduating seniors from the following schools are invited to apply:

  • Fairhope High School
  • Daphne High School
  • Spanish Fort High School
  • Bayside Academy
  • St. Michael Catholic High School
  • Bayshore Christian School
  • Baldwin County Virtual School

Relatives of Point Clear Rotary Club members are not eligible.

💡 Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be PELL Grant eligible established by the US Department of Education
  • Must be a graduating senior from one of the eligible schools listed above
  • Must plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States
  • Must submit a complete application by the posted deadline

📄 Application Materials

To be considered, applicants must submit the following:

  1. Completed application form (online)
  2. Applicant Letter (Essay): “Your Most Meaningful Life Experience” (500–1,000 words)
  3. High school transcript (including GPA)
  4. ACT or SAT scores
  5. Résumé (any format)
  6. Letter of recommendation from a school counselor or advisor

Applications are reviewed by the Point Clear Rotary Club Scholarship Committee using a weighted evaluation system:
