✅ Check In Online Before the Meeting!

If you haven’t tried checking in online yet, now’s the perfect chance to practice! It only takes a minute and makes things run so much smoother. We’d love for everyone to get comfortable with the process before I head out of town—so give it a try this week and be ready to roll when you arrive at the meeting.

🎤 Tomorrow’s Speaker:

Lloyd Michael Austin

Community Outreach Ambassador and Senior Peer Support Specialist at Vets Recover

Taste of Rotary: Now Accepting Sponsors and Raffle Ticket Buyers!

We’re just weeks away from our biggest (and tastiest) fundraiser of the year — Taste of Rotary is happening Sunday, October 26 at The Wash House, and we need your help to make it a smash hit!

🎯 Goal #1: Sponsors, sponsors, sponsors.
Scholarships, service projects, youth programs — these don’t fund themselves, and neither does the wine 🍷. If you know a business that wants exposure, a generous friend, or if your own company wants some good karma (and logo placement), now’s the time to act!

🎟️ Goal #2: Sell those raffle tickets!
They’re available now, and proceeds go directly to the impactful work we do year-round. Easy to buy, even easier to sell—so grab a stack and spread the love.

Let’s fill up that sponsor board and move those tickets like it’s a flash sale at Target. 💃🕺

More updates coming soon on auction items, volunteer shifts, and all the fun stuff—but for now, let’s lock in the support that makes all the magic happen.

Cheers to making this the most successful (and well-funded) Taste of Rotary yet! 🥂

📖 A Rotary Treasure
Last week, Jim Rivers brought in a piece of Rotary history—a vintage Songs for the Rotary Club book. Once upon a time, Rotary meetings around the world often included singing as a way to build fellowship and joy. The book reminds us that “a singing Rotary Club is a good club… a cordial club—a friendly club—a cooperative club.”

It’s a fun reminder that while times may change, the heart of Rotary—fellowship, service, and a little joy—remains the same. 🎶

🔍 Rotary Fun Fact of the Week:

💧 Clean Water Impact

Since 2013, Rotary members have helped provide safe drinking water and sanitation to more than 25 million people worldwide. Access to clean water means healthier families, fewer waterborne illnesses, and more children staying in school instead of spending hours each day fetching water. Rotary clubs partner with local communities to build sustainable wells, filtration systems, and hygiene education programs—ensuring that the impact lasts for generations.

🎬 AV Help Needed – Don’t Make August Another Ghost Town!

July came and went… and guess what? Not a single soul signed up to help with AV. We know you’re out there with opposable thumbs and a basic grasp of “put plug here.”

All we need is someone to help put away equipment after Thursday meetings. It’s a one-month gig, not a lifelong vow—and yes, it’s way easier than deciphering IKEA instructions.

Be the hero we know you are. Sign-up sheet’s at the desk (it’s even on paper not the iPad!).

All of us, at some time or another, need help. Whether we are receiving or giving help, each of us has something to bring to this world.

Fred Rogers
