Gina Shoub

Hosted by Ashley Day

Rotarian Ashley Day is host to Gina Shoub, who began her healthcare career in late 2009. Her first role was in a skilled nursing facility as Admissions Assistant, moving to Admissions Director and then Community Liaison. She remained in skilled nursing facility admissions and marketing until 2019. Shoub moved into Home Health Care in the early 2020’s. She is now the South Alabama Community Liaison for Right at Home Health Care. Right at Home provides a range of in-home care options for seniors and adults with disabilities. Recognizing that patients have different needs, Right at Home care plans are tailored to each individual patient. Caregivers are trained to assist with all types of needs and to deliver care in a variety of settings, including at home, independent or assisted living communities or elsewhere. Shoub was born and raised in Alabama and grew up in Saraland. She holds degrees from Faulkner State and the University of South Alabama. Shoub and her husband, Ricky have been married for 24 years and have two children, Gabbie and Gavin. After helping her father battle cancer from 2005 until 2009, she realized that she enjoyed being able to help others find not only resources and health care services for loved ones, but she could also help with other ways of caring. “I treat my patients like they were my own family. I live out my purpose through my career,” she said. “I love that I can help a family and bring some sense of direction and peace in an otherwise chaotic situation.”
