Rotarians Jim Currie and Scott Fenn join forces this week to bring speaker Daren Scroggie, MD. Dr. Scroggie, is a rheumatologist with over 27 years of experience in the medical field. He has extensive experience in Osteoporosis & Screening. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1996 and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Mobile Infirmary Medical Center and Thomas Hospital. Dr. Scroggie has expertise in treating rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis and other similar conditions. Rheumatologists are physicians that specialize in the diagnosis, nonsurgical treatment and management of diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system. Due to the variety of clinical problems encountered while treating musculoskeletal conditions, rheumatologists have a broad knowledge of internal medicine and other specialties. Rheumatology is classified as a subspecialty of internal medicine.
